Assessment and Certification
All learners should be assessed in two ways:
- Knowledge and comprehension — MCQ
- Learners are required to take one of the four standard assessments under examination conditions
- This consists of 20 questions in a variety of formats
- Each paper has a maximum of 33 marks
- Minimum mark required for this section is 20 out of 33
- Practical application of learning — Hazard Spotting Exercises
- This consists of four hazard-spotting questions plus four questions about the harm caused by hazards and the best ways to control it
- Each paper has a maximum of 16 marks
- Minimum mark required for this section is 10 out of 16
To be eligible for a Working safely certificate, delegates must have a total score of 30 or more
