The Chennai office of NIST Global had the honour of welcoming the leadership team from NEBOSH on 24th February 2026, marking an important milestone in a partnership that has grown steadily over the past 17 years.
Over nearly two decades, the collaboration between NIST Global and NEBOSH has played a significant role in advancing professional health and safety education while promoting stronger workplace safety practices across industries.
This collaboration has helped thousands of professionals to obtain the necessary knowledge and practical abilities to build safer working environments around the world by means of globally acknowledged certifications and top-notch training courses.
More than a ceremonial visit, the occasion reflected the power of a bond based on trust, mutual values, and a common dedication to producing knowledgeable safety professionals. It also presented a chance to consider accomplishments, commemorate development, and investigate fresh possibilities for future cooperation.
The visit began with a warm welcome to the NEBOSH delegation, followed by engaging discussions aimed at strengthening the long-standing partnership and identifying ways to further enhance the global impact of safety education.
Advancing Social Purpose Through Strategic Discussions
One of the key highlights of the visit was a meaningful discussion between Ms. Laura Wise - Chief Strategy & Governance Officer at NEBOSH and Ms. Priscilla Arulsamy - Co-Founder and Director of Operations at NIST Global.
Their discussion centered on increasing the reach of the NEBOSH Social Purpose Programme and finding chances to work on projects furthering sustainable social development. Both leaders looked at how sincere social transformation might be brought about by professional education, industrial knowledge, and civic participation.
Both organisations aim to expand the worth of safety education outside the workplace through knowledge-sharing programs, charity events, and community-centric projects. The conversation emphasised a common vision of employing professional education and expertise to have long-lasting social effect while enabling people and groups to enhance safety measures.
Strengthening Training Quality and Operational Excellence
Another important engagement during the visit involved Ms. Sarah Mace - Chief Delivery Officer at NEBOSH, who met with the training and operations teams at NIST Global.
The meeting focused on three main objectives which included improving training quality, establishing service delivery standards, and building better customer service experiences.
Collaborative discussions are vital for developing high-quality educational programs which meet international educational standards. The two organizations continue their dedication to training professionals through ongoing program development which enables them to acquire essential skills for real-world safety management.
Strategic Conversations on the Future of Safety Education
The NIST Global Leadership Team—Mr. Antony Selvaraj (Chairman & Managing Director), Mr. Lawrence Andoni Raj (Director – Client & Customer Synergy), and Mr. Robert Chettiar (GM – Technical Service Delivery)—had the privilege of engaging in meaningful discussions with Mr. Andy Shenstone (Chief Executive Officer, NEBOSH), Mr. Philip Johnson (Director – Business Development), and Mr. Damian Hampson (Head – International Business Development). The interaction focused on strategic collaboration and leadership excellence.
The discussions enabled us to examine the previous 17 years of accomplishments while we studied how occupational health and safety education has developed over time. The need for excellent professional training programs continues to grow because organisations worldwide now prioritise risk management, workplace wellness, and safety leadership development.
Both organisations reaffirmed their dedication to improving cooperation and helping the worldwide safety community by means of meaningful training, professional development activities, strategic priorities, and long-term objectives.
Team Engagement and Workplace Experience
