A tragic fire at a multi-storey residential building in Mamura Village, Sector 66, Noida<\/strong>, has once again underscored the importance of fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and regular fire safety assessments in occupied buildings. The incident resulted in the loss of two lives and required a large-scale rescue operation to evacuate dozens of residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Happened?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The fire occurred on 15 July 2026 in the ground floor car park of a 4-storey residential development where approximately 50 households lived. Initial investigation information released by officials indicates that the fire started when an electric vehicle was charging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blaze then easily engulfed adjacent parked cars, creating a heavy smoke which spread through the stairwells and upper floors, leading to the evacuation of the occupants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firefighters used several fire tenders, hydraulic platforms and rescue vehicles to evacuate residents and put out the fire. Unfortunately two people died from smoke inhalation. A case has been registered and the investigation is ongoing to find out the exact cause of the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
