A fire broke out in a restaurant that was hosted inside a 4-storey commercial building in Kalkaji, South Delhi, putting the spotlight on fire prevention and emergency preparedness for commercial buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fire occurred on 14 June 2026 and was reportedly worsened by the explosion of three commercial LPG cylinders during the fire. Firefighters quickly mobilized to put out the fire and rescue efforts were immediately conducted. Fortunately, there were no casualties and an older citizen was safely evacuated from an adjacent part of the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fire started in a ground floor restaurant in a commercial building in Krishna Market, Kalkaji. Because of the LPG cylinders and the combustible material, the fire became intense and there was a large amount of firefighting involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fire was so large, fire service personnel deployed a number of fire tenders to bring the situation under control and help prevent further spread to adjoining premises.
