NEBOSH Course Provider Conference- 2019


Business meetings are considered as highly important in today's fast paced, agile business environment. Because it determines organization's success as well as paves way for generating new and innovative ideas to achieve set goals and objectives. Keeping this in mind, NEBOSH, a leading global brand in HSE domain, conducts course provider meet annually across different geographies to showcase its plans for the future.

On 12th February 2019, NEBOSH conducted course provider conference at Le Meridien Hotel, Windsor Place, New Delhi. This event was hosted by NEBOSH's Chief Executive, Ian Taylor along with other NEBOSH top management officials. NIST, prominent safety institute in India, made its presence in this event with Our Chairman and Director, Mr. Antony Selvaraj and Director of Operations, Ms. Priscilla.

The meeting started with a round of introduction from all the members presented over there. Following which, Ian Taylor emphasized the purpose of the meeting and strong adherence to NEBOSH policies. Mr. Dee Arp, Director of Technical Standards, also graced the occasion encompassing NEBOSH happenings such as new direction of travel strategy towards enhancing business operations and new qualification development as per the trend in the market. Subsequently, NEBOSH's International Business Executive, Mr. Damian Hampson, explained Pros and Cons of NEBOSH terms and conditions related to new business strategies.

One of the highlights of this conference was Mr. Dee Arp discussing about the changes in IGC syllabus qualification. It's an interactive session and most of the course providers were actively participated to understand the pattern of the revised syllabus and project guidelines. Another interesting aspect was lively and interactive group discussions held among three groups, where each one was headed and moderated by NEBOSH team members. As a matter of this discussion, course providers got the opportunity to interact and brainstorm ideas and solutions to strengthen their performance in delivering the course.

Post lunch session includes more on Learning Partner Programme led by NEBOSH's Director of Relationship Management, Mr. Stuart Naylor. The vision of this session was upgrading the course provider standards to meet the challenges and opportunities in preparing students & delegates for the workforce of today and tomorrow. Finally, session concluded with Question and Answers with NEBOSH team and individual meeting with Ian Taylor and Stuart Naylor in a private setting.

Overall, this conference was highly engaging and valuable in which NIST is expecting to develop a learning ecosystem for providing NEBOSH safety courses in better way to which learners could attach and leverage the advantage.
